  • ‘Normal Life’ Now Available on DVD!
By Michelle Higgins on September 30, 2009 | No Comments Comments

normalposter1After two long years since the film was initially released, its here! Brought to you by the same producers of Fate Twisted Simply, this 2-disc Special Edition DVD set will be available for purchase at CreateSpace.com (as well as Amazon.com).  Shot in just under three weeks in the downstate Illinois college town of its own title, the principal cast is made up of ISU students, graduates, and faculty. Normal Life is a drama about a college junior living in the town of Normal who wants to break out from the tired routine of his life.

Orpheus (Marc Muszynski) is a college junior whose desires to become a musician are hindered by the routine of college life:  Beer, girls and ten page papers. All of these things distract Orpheus from growing up in the real world. Orpheus has set out to find what he needs to do to get out of this rut. While he and his roommate, Phaeton (Nick Mikula) are best friends, they don’t see eye-to-eye very often when it comes to discussing the future. Orpheus’ girlfriend, Eris (Caitlin Barlow) also seems to be swooped up into the life of a college student, focused on studies, but mostly on parties and having a wild time. Orpheus’ major dilemma seems to be the answer to a difficult question: “What am I really here for?” His girlfriend, his buddies, and one humorously inspirational professor don’t appear at first to share the same ambition.

Other principal cast featured in Normal Life include Brian Wohl, Annie Rix and Kim Pereira.

The 2-disc edition will include a commentary with writer/director Marc Muszynski, producers Nick Mikula, Brian Wohl and Michael P. Noens. Featured on the bonus features disc there is a segment called “Creating the Eris Song,” (which shows the 20-minute process of Muszynski’s performed development of the song) an Outtakes Reel, “Page to Picture” Featurette, plus a number of extended or cut scenes from the film!

No official MPAA rating, but the film is not recommended for those under the age of 17 for language and adult content.  Click here to purchase your copy of the film today!
