Midwest Independent Film Festival audiences will get a glimpse tonight into the Flüffenhaus phenomenon! That’s right, before the feature presentation, audiences will get to see the world premiere teaser trailer to Flüffenhaus: The Comeback of a Pop Culture Icon, directed by Jeremy Kruse and produced by Emily Skyle. Tonight’s a night you’re not going to want to miss!The Illinois Institute of Art will be sponsoring tonight’s Chicago premiere of Being Bucky, a documentary about the hardship of being the mascot Bucky. When you’re Bucky, you are forbidden to tell anyone. You don’t get paid, but instead do it for the privilege of upholding a time-honored tradition. The smell of the suit is terrible and you never know when you’ll get to use a bathroom. By the time you’re done, you don’t ever want to stop. Being Bucky changes you forever.
Director Scott Smith, executive producer John Fromstein and editor Sara Evans will be in attendance for a post-screening discussion with the audience.

Earlier this month, Boll AG closed a domestic deal with R-Squared Films for David B. Grelck’s White Out! The film was originally released on December 29, 2007 in the Chicagoland area, but this December you’ll be able to purchase it on DVD through a number of different outlets. That’s right, on December 1st, White Out will be CNGM’s first professionally distributed film! You’ll be able to find the film at Barnes & Noble, Target, Best Buy and of course, Amazon! Mikey Laird Up to Bat for ‘The Pitch’By Michael P. Noens on August 27, 2009 | No Comments
Illinois State University graduate, Mikey Laird has agreed to direct CNGM’s next short film project, The Pitch. This makes it not only Laird’s debut, but also screenwriter Stephen Pratt’s. The Pitch tells the story of a young, mildly successful screenwriter (to be played by Jonathan C. Legat) who is given the opportunity to pitch his script to two hot-shot Hollywood producers (Emily Skyle and Thomas J. Akouris). Shortly after he begins, he discovers that the producers are looking to go in a different direction… An extremely different direction. Danny Crook will be the Director of Photography and Michael P. Noens will produce. -
